Sure, measurements of a 6% or so decline in audience numbers still keeps American Idol in top position for viewers but with nothing new, except a change in order of finalists, can we really expect this show to still entertain as it has?
Sadly, the answer is no.
People watching have a comfort level with Randy Jackson remaining as a judge, but the lack of surprises from the remaining judges (Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez) will chase the viewers away. By the end of this season’s competition the only viewers will be the friends and family of the finalists.

While we must admit for a new cable channel moving boldly into the world of original programming, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is a great zombie apocalypse ride on the horror side. The 6-show season was exciting up to the season’s final show where we are left suspended not quite wondering what is to happen with our group that has survived zombie attacks from all over, even into the 100 mile outside the city panoramic setting and the zombie infested remains of the CDC (Center of Disease Control) in Atlanta. The final flame-out of the CDC, complete with narrow escapes, zombie killings and suicides also flamed out the audiences caring about what happens next. Maybe if we have the stomach for it, the inevitable 10 months of reruns might offer a bleak amount of hope for the second season to offer more… but we’re not counting our rib bones yet.
