While a recent home robbery (read here) suggests that twitter was used as an information source that allowed burglars to rob a family’s residence while on vacation, there is no proof that there is a systematic use of twitter for vacationers information and residence location.

When emailed about this possible use of twitter messages being used for criminal activity Evan Williams did not reply in time for this news story.
